Popup Ads Still In Use

Ask just about any web user and they will tell you they despise popup ads. Web users hate them so much that browsers build the functionality to block them directly into the browsers. Yet, advertisers still pay a bit of money to websites to unleash them onto their audience who may not have an enabled blocker. Cost to the advertiser is rather minimal. Cost the to that portion of the websites' audience I'd have to think is severe.

OnlineAthens.com Front Page - 8414px long (~11 pages)

Of the 1,240 x 8,400+ pixels, what is important for the web user on the onlineathens.com home page?

1024x768 is still the predominant screen resolution for onlineathens.com audience so 8414px is roughly equivalent to 11 pages.  Resolution data acquired from Google Analytics.

Amazon sniffing out Opera user agent

I really wish @amazon would not block the @opera desktop browser from using its services.  Masking the user agent allows me to use Amazon with Opera.   However, that just exacerbates the problem because it looks like traffic from a different browser when really it is people using Opera.  User agent sniffing is for the weak so I would expect better from Amazon.
